Elotrix merch shoot. Pico do Arieiro and the Madeira coast, September 2026
Brand · Pico do Arieiro · September 2026
On 25 September I photographed the new line from the Elotrix merch shop. One day, two places: the viewpoints near the observatory on Pico do Arieiro, then the rocks under the Madeira airport runway.
Who Elotrix is
Elotrix is a German streamer. His Twitch channel was opened in 2013 and has about 1.69 million followers (TwitchMetrics and SullyGnome, October 2026). He streams in German: video games, and Just Chatting, where the stream is a conversation with his chat.
The shop sells his own clothing under the Elotrix name. The line we shot has five pieces:
- an oversized tee in beige and in black, 240 g/m² cotton
- a hoodie, 360 g/m² cotton and polyester
- a track jacket and track pants, 320 g/m² polyester with elastane
According to the shop, all of it is made in Izmir.
How he found me
He came on the recommendation of a colleague, the streamer Tolkin. I had photographed clothing for Tolkin’s brand before. That work is described on the solo and personal brand page.
The day
He turned out to be pleasant and friendly. He gave me a tour of his workspace and talked about his equipment, the special lighting in his gaming room and how his work is organised.
For me it was interesting to spend one day inside the life of a person who does what he loves and brings people joy.
The dust
The air that day was full of fine Saharan dust. Madeira often gets it at the end of summer. It made the shoot much harder.
In the frames the ridges behind the models come out flat and grey.
Pico do Arieiro
We worked the viewpoints along the road up to the observatory on Pico do Arieiro. Dry grass, volcanic stone, a wooden railing above the cliffs. The group frames are along that railing, with the ridge behind.
The tees carry the mark in thread the same colour as the cotton, so it reads only from close up. On the hoodie sleeve and along the stripe of the track pants the Roman numerals are large.
Across the day part of the set is with two cars, a green convertible and a white sports car. One section on the coast has a green and white lighthouse tower behind.
Under the runway
Then down to the coast. Madeira’s runway stands out over the sea on concrete pillars. Underneath it there is a field of black boulders and broken grey concrete.
Black clothing against black rock.
The grade
I chose a colour profile and graded the files to Fuji Superia 400 film. A little warm, with a pleasant skin tone, where black stays black and pastel looks noticeably more expensive.
The group photo
At the end we took a group photograph by the green car. It is the last image in the set above.
If you run a brand and need a line photographed on the island, the solo and personal brand page explains how these sessions are put together.
